Christmas Festive fun at nursery

It's the time of year at nursery where children have been joining in the Christmas festive fun. On some of the days it was all about the shiny glittery pictures and then on another it was day of singing Christmas songs. Both children and practitioners fully immersed themselves into the festive spirit, fun and exiting activities were planned and children relished in joining in the festive fun.One of the exciting days was the visit from Father Christmas, the grotto was decorated with Christmas decorations and Father Christmas took pride of place on his chair and awaited the arrival of the children. For some of the children this was the first they had seen Father Christmas and they were a little reluctant to see him, but with support from the practitioners they received there present and returned to the comfort of their room. Father Christmas has lots of high fives from the children and when asked what they would like for Christmas the list got very long ranging from AN electric crane to Peppa pigs toys. The children's Christmas Party day was a fun and energetic day, many activities were happening across the nursery, in one room there was pass the parcel in another children were making reindeer food and in Baby Plus room the children were digging deep in the lucky dip box. The children all tucked into their party food then some enjoyed a sleep while others finished off their party activities.
As Great dais Pre School were fantastic at singing Christmas songs they put on a Christmas sing along for their family at nursery. Mums, dads and grandparents all gathered at nursery to listen to the children singing, its was great to hear the children singing  a range of Christmas songs such as Little Donkey, Christmas Pudding and Jingle Bells
