A sick dolly at daisykins nursery

Children learn through all their sense, practitioners at daisykins nursery ensure that throughout the day children are given the opportunity to experience a range of activities such as singing. A newborn baby can be soothed by singing soft gentle songs, hearing of these different tones helps develop a babies early communication skills.

Young children love finger rhymes and actions songs, these songs are prefect for circle time with children under 3 year as they spend most of their time involved in exploratory play, where as older children love experimenting with words to create nonsense words.

Singing Miss Polly had a dolly song enables children to use their gross motor skills as they rock their arms back and forth to show the sign the dolly is sick, this song can be extended further by using props to support the child's imagination skills eg a hat, bag and doctors kits.
