On Sunday all the Pre-School children at Daisykins Nursery in Rugby, parents/carers and practitioners gathered to celebrate finishing the Pre-School year by holding a Graduation ceremony. This year we held it externally at a different venue due to increasing numbers and so we could allow parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles all to come along and see their children graduate from Daisykins. The parents all sat in anticipation waiting for the children to enter the dance studio and after a short wait, the children began entering the room with smiles on their faces. They shared some of their favourite songs they had learnt during their time at Daisykins, joining in with the actions excitedly. Some of the parents who were feeling brave even joined in having a little sing song with the children. The children then left to put on their gowns and hats. There were a lot of watery eyes and proud parents seeing their children’s time in Pre-School coming to an end before the new and exciting journey of starting big school. The children were then invited to share some party food and cake. We also had a very special guest come to greet the children, our friend Chase from Paw Patrol. Many of the children have been a part of Daisykins for many years, some moving through the entire building from Baby room and all the way to Pre-School.
